My inspiration for this came from:
- Have you ever cooked something so yummy but then never been able to remember quite what you did to make it? I have...
- My mum told me once she could never cook mince like her mother-in law; imagine being able to learn that secret touch and make someone happy
- My mum also told me that when she was a child my grandmother would cook the green leaves of silver beet for dinner one night and the following night they would have the white silver beet stalks in white sauce - waste not, want not.
- My grandmother. I remember smells of cooking beans, stewing tomatoes, and Christmas lunch roast and minted peas. I know I could have learnt a lot from her. She isn't here now to ask, but I have her old cook books with pencil notes by recipes she obviously used, one of which is dated 1894.
- And lastly I just want a spot to share photos of food we make because I like to do that. Better here than boring people on Facebook!

Enjoy!
